Board of Director’s Meeting Minutes

- NATS 2025 –July 28 is the pilots meeting. Jacques Telles is the CD and it will be in Muncie, IN. 23 People are signed up so far. We need judges for the event. Sponsors are being worked on. Adi Kochav will be the chief judge for the event. Practice will be limited for the first 2 days(No Rollers). The Brick for Horel has been secured.
- RFA Discussion – We voted on 4 RFA’s
- Benefit of the Doubt Voted NO
- Gyro was voted No
- Scale was voted Yes
- Opposite Rolls Yes
- Details on these 2 will be submitted to AMA for their Approval for 2027 Rules Cycle.
- Electronic Scoring Update – All regions except the NW have received boxes with good feedback and input.
- Website Update. We have requested help from a 3rd Party Firm to work on a new website. We will have an update in Mid-June.
- Sequence Committee – Still looking for a committee Chairman, we are out of sequences for some classes.
- Worlds 2026 Update – Shipping Planes to the venue is possible with prior arrangement. Airplanes and transmitters will be available for rent for those needing them. Worlds are on track. Dates will be July 15-18 2026. We will have 10 airplanes for rent for the contest and sharing can be arranged. Registration will commence at the end of June.
- 2025 Budget/Treasurers Report – Alex June 16, 2025 $43, 765.51
- Regional Updates –
- NW looking for Scoring Boxes and our next contest is in 2 weeks. Held a BOOT CAMP in Utah and had great participation.
- SW Slow now until September
- SC weather has been a concern and has interfered with flying. New Contest in Missouri was well attended.
- NE Supposed to have a contest but 13 Saturdays straight rain has been an issue. State College is this weekend.
- SE Great season so far with 6 contests so far and great participation. New Contest in Tennessee. 9 more contests to go.
- LA People are excited about the worlds next year. Participation is up this year and contests are occurring. Mexico is having contests as well as Columbia and Argentina are coming alive.
